Every so often it’s good to look back on where you’ve been and reflect. For QuiBids, January was a big month and therefore worthy of much reflection. The first part of it can be found here, but we’re gonna keep the train rolling with part two right now. Try not to get too sentimental.
Beef up your QuiBids strategy by knowing how to use auction statistics.
Everybody needs a QuiBids auction strategy. Without it, you’re like a sailor without a compass, a general without a plan of action, like a restaurant without a menu. Yeah you might get lucky and win an auction every so often bidding haphazardly, but we recommend you read up and hone a style that’s all your own.
We went to Vegas, baby!
Ever year one of the world’s largest trade shows sets up in the desert. It’s the Consumer Electronics Show (CES for short) and some seriously awesome technologies get their public unveiling there each year. Read up on the QuiBids merchandising team’s trip out there and what they took away from CES 2013!
QuiBidders made a difference.
There was a public request for charity auctions in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and the tragedy at Sandy Hook, so we set up a couple of auctions for customers to donate by bidding. They came together and raised more than $7,000 on only two auctions!
We chatted with an expert. Nicholas Boccio chronicled the penny auction industry for years at his blog, PennyBurners. Read our discussion with him about why he thinks QuiBids has progressed beyond the paradigm of the penny auction.
More to give. QuiBidders gave more with another charity auction this month, this time for an autographed Serge Ibaka jersey. He plays for our hometown team, the Oklahoma City Thunder!
Want to find out the quickest, simplest, easiest-to-use ways to win a QuiBids auction? They’re all right here!
1. Using Bid-O-Matic
The Bid-O-Matic function is an inexact but nonetheless effective way to rack up the auction wins on QuiBids. It’s also one of the most basic and commonly used tools on the site, and there are a lot of different ways to incorporate it into your QuiBids strategy. Check out a couple YouTube videos below that each discuss different ways to use it.
2. Using Voucher Bids
The cool thing about Voucher Bids on QuiBids is that you can —theoretically— never run out of them, and thereby never have to spend any actual money. There are loads of ways to score Voucher Bids for free: referring friends, being a dedicated follower ofQuiBids’ social media accounts, earning QuiBids Badges and Gameplays, and simply winning auctions for Voucher Bids. Gather up enough Voucher Bids consistently and you’ll be a force to be reckoned with when it comes to time to bid.
3. Using Real Bids Real Bids are the surest way to shop on QuiBids. Unlike Voucher Bids, they do count toward a product’s Buy Now price, so the worst-case scenario when you’re bidding with Real Bids is paying retail.
4. Using one bid It happens. A lot! But it requires a lot of skill, so much so that we created the Win-in-One Badge to celebrate such a victory.
5. Using a lot of bids
Grinding it out is a totally valid and consistently effective strategy that can pay off big in the long haul. Like we said earlier, the Bid-O-Matic is instrumental to this: It’s like swinging a big, heavy mallet to drive a stake into the ground. It’s taxing, but it’ll eventually get the job done.

QuiBids is running a daily sweepstakes on Facebook! Every day, four winners will be chosen at random to win 50 free bids each. Now, you can enter the contest from your mobile phone too! Winners will be picked at random every day. Wherever you are, you can win.
There are also improved odds of winning. One entry per day is allowed and each entry is saved throughout the month. If you enter every day for the whole month, by the end of the month, you’ll have around 30 entries submitted. That increases your odds of winning!
Every day, Monday through Friday, four winners will be announced on the QuiBids site. If you win, you’ll receive a notification within 24 hours! If you didn’t receive an email, it means you didn’t win, but there’s always tomorrow to try again. And because your entries stay through the month, your previous entries increase your chances of winning the next day. Because of the new Facebook guidelines, QuiBids won’t announce the winners on Facebook, but instead on the QuiBids site here and via email.
