Win an iCut Pass on QuiBids

Posted in Features on 31.03.12 by Merlyn

You round the corner past the dusky coffee shop and run smack-dab into a line that’s hundreds of people-long. You crane your neck to see what’s at the other end of this human queue, noticing tangles of white wires leading from heads to fingerless gloved-hands, Starbucks logos, fancy shoes, and the occasional jean jacket. Eventually you spot the unmistakable white emblem — that symbol of corporate fawning — emblazoned on the window of the store down the street.

You just unwittingly joined a line of Apple hipsters.

Win the Worst Car in America on QuiBids

Posted in Features on 31.03.12 by Merlyn

Here at QuiBids, we’re always trying to offer the right products that you would want to see up for auction. With the continued growth of our company, our search for the quality products to auction is a never-ending journey. However, we’ve decided to put that online retailing journey on a temporary pause and venture into the crappy used car market.

Instead of putting a quality product up for auction, why don’t we put the worst car in America up for auction? Only on QuiBids can you have this much fun while shopping for a Yugo. But we’re not putting just any old Yugo up for auction. We will auction off an exact replica of Giuseppe’s Old Yugo. Who’s Giuseppe? We’ll explain:

What do you call a Yugo with a flat tire? Totaled.

Reelin’ and dealin’

Posted in Uncategorized on 26.03.12 by Merlyn

You ever land a marlin? No? You wanna? Well now’s your chance, and you don’t even have to catch a schooner for the coast.

All you’ve got to do is win an auction that includes a Gameplay, and you can cast your line into the deep blue with our latest addition to QuiBids: Big Game Fishing. Like the other awesome stuff at QuiBids’ Games page, Big Game Fishing is an opportunity to score more bids for free, so you can get back to winning auction prizes! It’s even easier (but certainly less adorable) than this. On the other hand, there’s no risk of anything quite this messy happening either.

Here’s how it works.

From the home screen you must choose one of three tackle boxes, each with varying amounts of bait. The more bait, the more chances to win bids.

Once you’ve got your tacklebox, you choose which part of the ocean to set out for. Of the three sites in our cozy little QuiBids cove, Fisher’s Grave is where the biggest fish swim. It’s also stalked by a pack of sharks that sometimes get to those fish before you can.

The payout’s less likely to be as generous at Rocky Point or Feeder Frenzy, but you’re also less likely to spot those scary dorsal fins out there. Don’t be scared, though. Big Game Fishing’s about as far from Amity Island as it gets.

Your port of call chosen, the game’s now as simple as kicking back and watching your little digital fisherman reel in the tuna, snapper, and whatever else is stocked in QuiBids’ cove. You’ll have to dive in yourself to find out!

So that’s Big Game Fishing. Much like actual fishing, it’s simple and fun — and you don’t even have to wait around all day or catch a nasty sunburn to do it.

As far as those won bids go, we might recommend you consider turning right around and spending them on this Canon Rebel T2i kit (that’s currently going to only cost the winning bidder thirteen cents, so you can frame photos of that trophy marlin on the wall!
